On May 22nd, 2026, through the help of many generous supporters, donors, organizations, and veterans from across Long Island, we opened the expansion of this military history. A special thanks is given to B2K Development for the unyielding efforts of this local and national corporation to being the largest donor towards this veterans project. They took the old Rocky Point Train Station, enclosed, placed electric, flooring, walls, installation, spackled, painted, and expanded the ceiling. While this is only a few of the items that they handled, thank you to the partners, engineers, workers, and staff of this tremendous company to bring this part of the military history museum to life. Your efforts will continue to foster greater respect to our local and national veterans from yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Thank you to Jeff Brett and King Quality for the roofing, siding, and construction needs of this museum. Your company has truly been supportive to this VFW Post through the addition of a new roof and aiding the expansion of this museum. Our architect Michael Guido, almost within sight of this museum, helped with all of our construction planning needs and his expertise was amazing. Thank you to Councilwoman Jane Bonner from the Town of Brookhaven for being our support to ensure the successful implementation of this patriotic endeavor. To our good friend Bill Donahue, thank you for the locating, donating, and selling of important historical weapons and items. This family represents all of the local people in the McCarrick's who represent the true heart of this North Shore community. We appreciate everyone who donated money, services, placed names on the Veterans Wall of Honor, and the donation of military items.
